NOMADE, VET-HE social impact ecosystem

Nomade is an open education, research, and innovation ecosystem. HAS Green Academy, Avans University of Applied Science and King Willem 1 College, and Yuverta vocational college have joined forces to set up improved cooperation in this ecosystem, combating social inequality, promoting broad prosperity, with a focus on healthy food and a healthy lifestyle strengthening a green sustainable living environment for all citizens. Nomade aims to create local impact, in the city and its wider region Brabant, for those citizens that need it the most. The main principles of Nomade are:

o Multidisciplinary and multi-level learning (vocational, higher, and academic educational partners)

o Flexibility in curricula (micro-credentials)

o Student learning (learning how to deal with complexity and context sensitivity)

o Co-creation with key stakeholders and citizens in neighborhoods

o Solving local challenges and local impact

For this project, INNOFIUS conducts stakeholder interviews, builds future educational scenarios, writes a vision/mission, and designs the ecosystem’s kick-off day, under the flag of the city’s education agreement.
